This year has gone by in a flash! Austin Firefighters Outreach Fund has been in a steady rebuilding of our finances due to several large apartment fires late in 2006. In 2007 the Austin Firefighters Outreach Fund contributed $16,000 to eleven public safety officers. These funds went to the families while they dealt with the passing of a family member, an injury, or major illness. This includes the tragic lost of two Austin Firefighters. Our hearts go out to the families of FF Keith Wampler and FF Bennie Baldarama.The Fund has also assisted 16 families who lost their homes to fire. These families received a total of $7500 in assistance, helping them in getting back on their feet.Thank you to each and everyone who has helped support this organization! Eric Pederson
